total no. of ways to show faces if one is 5 = 2*6 = 12
i.e (1,5),(2,5)............(5,1),(5,2),......(5,6).

no. of ways to showing sum 8 if one dice is showing 5 = 2 i.e [5,3] and [3,5]


so, probability that the sum is 8 = 2/12


= 1/6
