It starts off with this:
(x ____)(x______)
Now find two numbers whose product is the last number which is 6. That would be 1*6 or 2*3. The fact that it is a -6 means that one of the numbers must be positive and the other must be negative. In addition, the two numbers must add up (or in this case, subtract!) to give you the middle number, which is 5. So, use +6*-1.
(x+6)(x-1) or (x-1)(x+6).
