Question 351949: A private airplane leaves Midway Airport and flies due east at a speed of 180km/h. Two hours later, a jet leaves Midway Airport and flies due east at a speed of 900km/h. How far from the airport will the jet overtake the private plane?
I came up with the following formula:
Private plane: d = 180t
Jet: d = 900(t + 2)
I need assistance in finding out if I am on the right track on solving this problem

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Right track yes... but not a completely smooth ride.
The private plane has the two hour head start.
At time t=0, when the jet takes off, the private plane should be 360 km away.
D%5Bp%5D=180%28t%2B2%29
D%5Bj%5D=900t
So now find t when D%5Bp%5D=D%5Bj%5D
