5-7i%2B7-6i Distribute the negative.


%285%2B7%29%2B%28-7i-6i%29 Group like terms.


12-13i Combine like terms.


So %285-7i%29-%28-7%2B6i%29=12-13i


So the expression is now in standard form a%2Bbi where a=12 and b=-13
