=4/3 times = 4x/3
...
8 years ago
steven's age = x-8
roger's age = 4x/3 - 8
...
4x/3 -8 = 2(x-8)
(4x-24)/3 = 2x-16
x3
4x-24=3(2x-16)
4x-24=6x-48
6x-4x=48-24
2x=24
x=12 steven's age
Roger = 4/3 * 12
=16 years
