You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let x = the original number.


If you have a 16% increase, then you're basically adding 16% of that original number to the original number.


In other words: 16% increase of some number = Some number + 16% of same number


Symbolically, this means that x%2B0.16x=1.16x. Because we know that the new number is 522, we know that 1.16x=522
