For some civil cases, at least 9 of 12 jurors must agree on a verdict. How many combinations of 9 jurors ar possible froma 12-person jury? Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! For some civil cases, at least 9 of 12 jurors must agree on a verdict. How many combinations of 9 jurors ar possible froma 12-person jury?
You are counting "groups" of people. Order does not make a difference
in the group.
You want "number of comginations of 12 objects taken 9 at a time".
12C9= [12!]/[(12-9)!*9!] = [12*11*10]/[1*2*3]
= 220 ways
