You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1/4=1/(X+15)+1/X
1/4=(X+X+15)/X(X+15)
1/4=(2X+15)/(X^2+15X) CROSS MULTIPLY.
X^2+15X=4(2X+15)
X^2+15X=8X+60
X^2+15X-8X-60=0
X^2+7X-60=0
(X+12)(X-5)=0
X-5=0
X=5 HOURS FOR THE NEW MACHINE.
15+5=20 HOURS FOR THE OLD MACHINE.
PROOF:
1/4=1/20+1/5
1/4=(1+4)/20)
1/4=5/20
1/4=1/4
