You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Find sec(theta) if tan(theta) = 1/4 and 180 degrees < (theta) < 270 degrees
----
tan = y/x = 1/4
---
So y = 1 and x = 4
Therefore r = sqrt(4^2+1^2) = sqrt(17)
----
Note: Theta is in the 3 Quadrant so, x and y are negative.
----
Therefore: sec(theta) = r/x = (sqrt(17))(-4) = -sqrt(17)/4
