13.6 meters - 3.4 meters = 10.2 meters
The sum of the three sides of the triangle, minus one side of the triangle, equals to the sum of the other two sides of the triangle.
Now we know the rest of the two sides are equal, so simply...
10.2 meters / 2 = 5.1 meters

Or if you want it be this way
n+n=10.2
(let n= one unknown side of the triangle, the problem said that the two unknown sides are equal, so n+n)
2x=10.2
x=10.2/2
x=5.1 meters
