You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1.) First, ascending order means from the smallest number to the greatest number. It is easy to recognize that the smallest numbers are the negative ones, so they will be listed first.
-2/5 and -5/19.
2.) Now we have to decide which is smaller, -2/5 or -5/19. it is easy to see that -2/5 is more negative than -5/19, so -2/5 is more negative and will be the smallest number of the set. So,
a. -2/5 b. -5/19
3.) Now, it is between 1/16, 7/8, and 13/4. 13/4 is more than triple 4, so it is the largest number of the set. 1/16 is obviously smaller than 7/8, so 1/16 will go next, like so:
a. -2/5 b. -5/19 c. 1/16 d. 7/8 and last, e. 13/4
This is the ascending order of this set of numbers.
