Let's have L represent Length and W be width. We can set up 2 equations as:
LxW=5000
2L+2W=300
Now work with the 2nd equation and subtract 2W and divide by 2 to get:
L=-W+150
Plug this into the first equation:
W(-W+150)=5000
Subtract 5000 from both sides:
-W^2+150w-5000=0
This could also be written as:
W^2-150W+5000=0
Factored as:
(W-50)(W-100)=0
Solve W
W=50
W=100
So we can have 2 different solutions.
Width can be 50 meters and length 100 meters
