Well, by looking at it, I can see that x = -1 is a root, so (x+1) is a factor...
If you divide it by x+1 you get,
2x^2 - 2x - 3
wich isn't directly factorable...you'd use the quadratic here...
so that x = %2B-+%281%2Bsqrt%287%29%29%2F2
and the answer factored appears to be
(x + 1)(x + (1+sqrt(7)/2)(x - (1+sqrt(7)/2)
