Question 347404: one of two complementary angles is 35 degrees larger than the other . What is the measure of both angles ?
Answer by fractalier(6550) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Since the two angles are complementary, they add up to 90...
If we call the first one x, then the other must be 90-x...
Since they are 35 different, we write
x = (90 - x) + 35
now solve, and get
x = 90 - x + 35
x = -x + 125
2x = 125
x = 62.5 deg
the other must be
90 - 62.5 = 27.5 deg
