You can put this solution on YOUR website! Solve for x: Divide both sides of the equation by 2.. Subtract 9 from both sides. Finally, divide both sides by 2.
x = -8.5
You can put this solution on YOUR website! the given equation is 2(2x+9) = -16.
try to multiply the 2 with the numbers inside the bracket,
we get,
4x + 18 = -16
4x = -16 -18
therefore x = -34/4
= -17/2. (or) -8.5 (simplifying)
