Larger hose fills 1/5 the pool in 1 hr. Smaller hose fills 1/8 the pool in 1 hr.
1/8 + 1/5
= 5/40 + 8/40
=13/40 of the pool filled in 1 hr.
40/13= hrs to fill the pool.
