Question 34674: Whenever a problem contains fractions, present your answer in fractional form; reduce to lowest terms, but do not change improper fractions to mixed numbers. No answers are to be expressed as mixed numbers. All fractional coefficients and any multi-term numerators/denominators must be enclosed in parentheses. Assume that all variables in any denominator are nonzero. Express all answers with positive exponents only; evaluate exponents when possible.

Ok for problem number 1

the first step to find f(2)

whenever you see x you will replace it with (2)

problem: f(x) =2x -11, find f(2)

1.) 2(2)-11=-7

so the answer is f(2)=-7

The second problem is

1st step you will need to drop the Parenthesis

for the first two Parenthesis and distribute the negative throught all the problems in the third Parenthesis

1.)5x2-3x+2-3x2-5x-8-x2-3x+10

2.)4x2-3x+2-3x2-5x-8-3x+10

3.)x2-3x+2-5x-8-3x+10

4.)x2-6x+2-5x-8+10

5.)x2-11x+2-8+10

6.)x2-11x-6+10

The last step answer is x2-11x+4

The third problem is :(5x-8)(x-7)
is to distribute so we have 5x2-35x-8x+56
the answer is 5x2-43x+56

Lastly, use the distributive property
which is 8x3+4x2+4x+4x+2x2+x+1
answer is 8x3+6x2+9x+1
