Question 346535: how do i solve this question...how would I set it up? what formula would I use? im so confused. Here is the question. two neighbors, smith and wheeler, plan to erect flagpoles in their yards. smith wants a 10ft pole while wheeler wants a 15ft pole. to keep the poles straight while the concrete bases harden guy wires are to be tied from the tops of the flagpoles to a fence post on the property lines and to the bases of the flagpoles.
HOW HIGH SHOULD THE FENCE POST BE AND HOW FAR APART SHOULD THEY ERECT THE FLAGPOLES FOR THE SCHEME TO WORK? Answer by Fombitz(32388) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! What is the scheme?
Are the flagpoles equidistant from the fence?
Isn't the fencepost up already?
How are the two flagpoles related, why do they need to be connected somehow?

There is not enough information to solve.
There are too many unknowns.
