both numerator and denominator are positive.
both numerator and denominator are negative.
A minus times a minus is a plus.
A minus divided by a minus is also a plus.
to confirm, you can use your calculator.
take 25/5 and you'll get 5.
take -25 / -5 and you'll also get 5.
if you take -25 and divide it by 5, then you'll get -5.
if you take 25 and divide it by -5, then you'll get -5.
a minus divided by a plus is always a minus.
