i know that the like terms cancel but i dont know what should be the denominator

I got all the way simplified to 4x-31/(x+3)(x-8)=3/x-8.
4/x+3-1/x^2-5x-24=3/x-8
Factor.
4/x+3-1/(x-8)(x+3)=3/x-8
Multiply the missing.
4(x-8)/(x-8)(x+3)-1/(x-8)(x+3)=3/x-8
Combine
4x-32-1/(x-8)(x+3)=3/x-8
Simplify
4x-31/(x-8)(x+3)=3/x-8
Multiply each side by x-8
4x-31/x+3=3
Multiply each side by x+3
4x-31=3x+9
Subtract 3x
x-31=9
Add 31
x=40
LCD is (x-8)(x+3)
