Question 345645: Trying to figure steps to following problem:
determine whether m = (-4) is a solution to 5m-1 divided by 6 = 3m-2 divided by 4
I did the following but not sure if correct:
5(-4) - 1 / 6 = 3(-4) - 2 / 4
-21 - 1 / 6 = -14 / 4
-21/6 x 3/3 = -14/4 x 2/2
-7/2 = - 7/2

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
determine whether m = (-4) is a solution to
5m-1 divided by 6 = 3m-2 divided by 4
I did the following but not sure if correct:
(5m-1)/6 = (3m-2)/4
----------
(5(-4) - 1)/6 = (3(-4)-2)/4
------------------------
(-21/6) = (-14/4)
--------------------
-7/2 = -7/2
