The perimeter of a rectangle is,
P=2L%2B2W=300
2.L%2BW=150
From eq. 1,
L=5000%2FW
Substitute into eq. 2,
5000%2FW%2BW=150
5000%2BW%5E2=150W
W%5E2-150W%2B5000=0
%28W-100%29%28W-50%29=0
Two solutions:
W-100=0
W=100
Then
L=5000%2FW=50
