Question 34384: A six foot tall person drops an object from the top of a building that is 723 feet tall. The height of the "H" of the object after "T" seconds is given by the equation H = -16T + 729. FInd how many seconds it will take the object to reach the ground.
I got an answer of 45 seconds but I don't think it is correct. can you show me how to work this out.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! They've tried to confuse you with the 'six foot person'
You have H = -16T + 729 , where H is the height of the object from the ground.
When the object has hit the ground, H=0, so the formula becomes
0 = -16T + 729,
solving for T, you get 45.56sec
