when im trying to solve y=mx+b
if the equation is
y= -x-1
when I take a few numbers for x like -1, 0, 2
What do I do with the negative attached to the x? or do I just pic 3 negative numbers to solve? Im confused.. help!!! thanks

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You just make it negative, as the function shows,
y=-x-1
When x=1, then y=-1-1=-2
(-1,-2)
You could also choose a negative value too.
When x=-1, then y=-%28-1%29-1=1-1=0
(-1,0)
.
.
.
You should be able to solve for y given any value of x.
