Question 341959: Can you please help me answer this question? Or can you help me figure out how to do it. please?
if (x,y) satisfies both equations 2x+3y=7 and 2x-3y=4 then x is....

Do you have to draw a graph? or do you have to set them equal to x or to y?
thankyou for your time i appreciate it :)

You can put this solution on YOUR website! If (x,y) satisfies both equations 2x+3y=7 and 2x-3y=4 then x is....
----
You could find x by graphing, or by substitution, or by elimination.
----
Using elimination I get:
2x+3y = 7
2x-3y = 4
----
Add the two equation to get:
4x = 11
x = 11/4
===================
