From the first 2 equations, I can say
e%5Ea+%2A+e%5Eb+=+16y
e%5E%28a+%2B+b%29+=+16y (from rules of exponents)
Another way to write this is
ln%2816y%29+=+a+%2B+b, or
ln%2816y%29+=+ln%282%29+%2B+ln%288y%29
This contradicts the assumption in the problem,
so the answer is no
