-38=7w%2B3%28w-6%29 Start with the given equation.


-38=7w%2B3w-18 Distribute.


-38=10w-18 Combine like terms on the right side.


-38%2B18=10w Add 18 to both sides


-20=10w Combine like terms.


-20%2F10=w Divide both sides by 10.


-2=w Reduce.
