In one minute 25,000 people are sick. In two minutes, 2*25,000=50,000 people are sick. In three minutes, 3*25,000=75,000 people are sick.


This pattern continues. In 'x' minutes (ie some unknown amount of time), 25000x people are sick. Since 6.5 billion = 6.5*10^9, and we want 25000x to be equal to 6.5 billion, this means that 25000x=6.5%2A10%5E9
