You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The length of a rectangle is 2 ft longer than its width.
If the perimeter of the rectangle is 24ft , find its area.
.
Let w = width
then
w+2 = length
.
2(w + w+2) = 24
2w+2 = 12
w+1 = 6
w = 5 feet
.
length:
w+2 = 5+2 = 7 feet
.
Area = width*length = 5*7 = 35 square feet
