-12x-9%2B24x%2B4=43 Distribute.


12x-5=43 Combine like terms on the left side.


12x=43%2B5 Add 5 to both sides.


12x=48 Combine like terms on the right side.


x=%2848%29%2F%2812%29 Divide both sides by 12 to isolate x.


x=4 Reduce.
