I'll do the first one to get you started.



-3x%2B7=x-1 Start with the given equation.


-3x=x-1-7 Subtract 7 from both sides.


-3x-x=-1-7 Subtract x from both sides.


-4x=-1-7 Combine like terms on the left side.


-4x=-8 Combine like terms on the right side.


x=%28-8%29%2F%28-4%29 Divide both sides by -4 to isolate x.


x=2 Reduce.
