Question 337934: An angle has a measure of 3x-10 and its complement has a measure of 2x+20. Find the measure of the angle. I got 16 degrees, is that correct? Answer by katealdridge(100) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Sorry, I rushed into the answer. x=16, but then you have to substitute 16 for x into the expressions. So 3x-10 is called "the angle." So 38 is the answer. The other angle is {{2(16)+20=52}}} That angle is the complement. You have to be very clear on the wording of the problem.
