You can put this solution on YOUR website! I just started algebra 1 this year so Im a bit confused on the homework and I needed help...
How do you set up a Domain and a Range?
-----------------
Let the Domain be {1,2,3}
Let the Rule be y = 2x
Then the Range is {2,4,6}
------
The Domain was set up arbitrarily.
The Rule is whatever you make it.
But the Domain and Rule together
determine the Range.
----
The Domain values are said to be "independent"
because they are arbitrary.
The Range values are said to be "dependent";
they depend on the Domain values and the Rule.

The domain is the set of all the numbers that you could possibly substitute
for x in an equation to get a value for y.
The range is the set of all the numbers you could possibly get for y when you
substitute those numbers in the domain into the equation for x and simplify.
