You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let the numerator be x
The denominator = x+3
The fraction is now x/(x+3);
Numerator doubled and the denominator is increased by nine makes the fraction:
2x/(x+9) = 1/2
=> 4x = (x+9)
=> x = 3
The original fraction is 3/6 = 1/2
