Question 336230: how to graph 3y+x=5?
this is what i did and what i got:
3y+x=5
-x -x
--------

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The quicker way is to find the x and y intercepts and plot them.
To find the x-intercept, set y=0 and solve for x.
3y%2Bx=5
0%2Bx=5
x=5
(5,0)
Plot it.

To find the y-intercept, set x=0 and solve for y.
3y%2Bx=5
3y%2B0=5
3y=5
y=5%2F3
(0,5/3)
Plot it too.

Now connect the points with a line going through both of them.
