(x-(1/2))^2=1+(1/4) take half of 1 and square that to add to other side
(x-(1/2))^2=(5/4) simplify
x-(1/2)=+ or -((5)^(1/2))/2 square root to get a positive and negative
x=(1/2)+((5)^(1/2))/2) or x=(1/2)-((5)^(1/2))/2) and (1/2)
