Question 335439: my name is Zach and I am in 7th grade pre Algebra it is my 2nd day of class and I am stumped by a problem. I was wondereing if you could help me? I am to write a numerical or variable expression for the quantity (the value in cents of n nickles) I haven't been able to figure anything out because I feel like I don't have enough information I am at the point of frustration Answer by solver91311(24713) (Show Source):
Each nickel is worth 5 cents. So if you have 1 nickel, then you have 5 times 1 = 5 cents. If you have 2 nickels, you have 5 times 2 = 10 cents. If you have 10 nickels, you have 5 times 10 = 50 cents, and finally, if you have nickels, you have cents. See?
