You can put this solution on YOUR website!
I'm assuming you're trying to write 1%2F%281-x%2Fy%29 correct?

Take note that the LCD of the terms in the denominator is 'y'. So multiply EVERY term by 'y' to get

%28y%2A1%29%2F%28y%2A1-cross%28y%29%28x%2Fcross%28y%29%29%29

Take note that the 'y' in the denominator of x%2Fy cancels out

So after multiplication and simplification, we're left with:

y%2F%28y-x%29

So 1%2F%281-x%2Fy%29 simplifies to y%2F%28y-x%29

In other words, 1%2F%281-x%2Fy%29=y%2F%28y-x%29 where x%3C%3Ey

Mutliply numerator and denominator by y.
1%2F%281-x%2Fy%29=y%2F%28y%281-x%2Fy%29%29
1%2F%281-x%2Fy%29=y%2F%28y-x%29%29
