Alex received scores of 82 and 88 on his first two quizzes. What average score does he need on the next two quizzes to achieve a final average score of 90, if all four scores are weighted equally?

(82 + 88 + x + y)/4 = 90, x & y are the scores on the next 2 quizzes

(170 + x + y)/4 = 90
170 + x + y = 360 (multiplied both sides by 4)
x + y = 190 --> total score of 190 on the next 2 quizzes
190/2 = 95
He needs 95 on next 2 quizzes.
