Trial Fish Caught Number tagged Number not tagged
1 15 6 9
2 15 7 8
3 15 5 10
4 15 7 8
5 15 10 5
6 15 6 9
7 15 8 7
8 15 4 11
9 15 7 8
10 15 5 10
4. Calculate the average number of tagged fish and the average number not tagged.
Average n.o of tagged fish= ______ Average n.o of not tagged fish= _____
5. Use ratios to estimate the total number of untagged fish in your lake.
Average # tagged fish in samples ______ = Average # tagged fish in lake____
Average # untagged fish in samples _____ Average # untagged fish in lake ____
To calculate an average, add up all of your numbers, and then divide by the number of numbers. In this case, add all the numbers in the tagged column and then divide by 10. Then add all the numbers in the not tagged column and divide by 10.
Can't work the other part since you didn't share an estimate of the number of fish in the lake.

My calculator said it, I believe it, that settles it
