You can put this solution on YOUR website!

Looking at y=%286%2F5%29x-2 we can see that the equation is in slope-intercept form y=mx%2Bb where the slope is m=6%2F5 and the y-intercept is b=-2

Since b=-2 this tells us that the y-intercept is .Remember the y-intercept is the point where the graph intersects with the y-axis

So we have one point

Now since the slope is comprised of the "rise" over the "run" this means
slope=rise%2Frun

Also, because the slope is 6%2F5, this means:

rise%2Frun=6%2F5

which shows us that the rise is 6 and the run is 5. This means that to go from point to point, we can go up 6 and over 5

So starting at , go up 6 units

and to the right 5 units to get to the next point

Now draw a line through these points to graph y=%286%2F5%29x-2

So this is the graph of y=%286%2F5%29x-2 through the points and

I would pick values for x and find y. Then plot the points and draw a line or curve thru them.
==================
If it's y = (6/5)x - 2, it's easy, since it's a straight line and only 2 points are needed.
If it's y = 6/(5x) -2, or y = 6/(5x-2), then more points would be needed.
