SOLUTION: Solve the rational equation:
1/(5x+5)= 3/(x+1) - 7/5
that is 1 over 5x+5 equals 3 over x+1 minus 7 over 5...

I have tried this problem several different ways and i can't seem to find the right least common denominator. Please Help!! Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! The LCD is 5(x+1)
Convert each fraction to having that denominator, as follows:
1/[5(x+1)] -3(5)/[5(x+1)] - 7(x+1)/[5(x+1)]
Now they all have the same denominator. Combine the numerators.
[1-15-7x-7]/[5(x+1)]
[-21-7x]/LCD
-7[3+x)/LCD
