well the population decreases from 10 thousand so your answers of >13 thousand and >127 thousand are both wrong.
the equation for this is y=-400x.+10,000 in y=mx+b form. The graph is posted @ the bottom. The Y represents the populace in X years (so duh x represents the year). The 400 is 4% of 10,000; which is by how much the populace decreases each year (yea, 400 people emigrate each year). To get the answer for 8 years, your X=8. so -400(8)+10,000 is your populace. =10,0000-3,200=6,800.
There's your answer, 6,800.
