Line parallel to y = (1/2)x+8 will have the same slope as 1/2;
Equation of a parallel line = y = (1/2)x + k;
The above equation passes thru (-6,4)
So, 4 = 1/2(-6) + k => k=7;
Answer: y = (1/2)x+7 is the required equation
