$22,000+5%of x =$35,000
5%of x=&35,000-&22,000
5/100*x=13,000
5x=13,000*100
x=1,300,000/5
x=$260000
The salesperson must make over $260,000 per year for such an income.

22000+5/100*260000=35000
22000+5*2600=35000
22000+13000=35000
