Question 332793: 3x+4= 5x-6 please help solve
Answer by Jstrasner(112) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Hey,
For this one, we need to use addition, subraction and division:
3x + 4 = 5x - 6
we add 6 to both sides to cancel out the six on the right side.
3x + 10 = 5x
Then we subract 3x from both sides to cancel out the 3x on the left side.
10 = 2x
Then we divide both sides by 2 to isolate the x:
x = 5
I hope this helps!
