Question 332204: graph
y-5=1/2(x+4)
Answer by nyc_function(2741) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! By the way, this is a linear equation not a quadratic equation. A quadratic equation will have an exponent of 2. The biggest exponent of your equation is 1. Look at your equation.
The variable x is the same thing as x^1. There is no need to write x^1 to mean x because it is understood that anything raised to the first power equals itself.
SAMPLE: 100^1 = 100, (xyz)^1 = xyz, (pizza)^1 = pizza, etc.
Understand?
Quadratic equations will be of the form y = x^2. Do you see exponent 2?
Anyway, copy and paste the following link to see the picture of your linear equation.
