I'm homeschooled online so I don't really have a teacher that can help me when I don't understand a problem unless I stay 30 minutes or more on the phone waiting for someone from my online school to answer and not even being able to help me out, so I would really appreciate it if you could please help me out with this problem because I've tried to solve it so many times, but I just can't work it out. Thank you.

Let A = the angle. Its supplement is (180-A) and this is what you want to find.
From the problem description, we can write:
A = 2(180-A)+15 "An angle (A) measures 15 degrees more than twice its supplement." First, we need to find the value of angle A.
A = 2(180-A)+15 Multiply the quantity in the parentheses by 2 using the distrbutive property.
A = 360-2A+15 Simplify this.
A = 375-2A Add 2A to both sides.
3A = 375 Now divide both sides by 3.
A = 125 degrees, and its supplement is:
180-A = 180-125 = 55 degrees.

If x = the supplement and the angle is 15° more than twice its supplement, then the angle is 2x + 15.
x + 2x+15 = 180
3x + 15 = 180
3x = 165
x = 55° <= supplement
2x+15 = 2(55) + 15 = 125° <= angle
The supplement is 55°.
