Question 331551: Suppose we have a pendulum that is “y” feet long. Our pendulum makes one complete swing in “t” seconds. Assume “y” and “t” are related by the formula y = .9 t2. If the pendulum is less than 4 feet long, what is the range of values for “t”?

I really need help with this one I don't even know where to start.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
from the looks of it u have an equation
y=.9t%5E2
and you have what y =
y%3C4
so:
4%3E.9t%5E2divide by .9
4.4444%3Et%5E2
t=2.1082 or -2.1082 since we cant go back in time negative wouldnt be an answer
so the time takes less than 2.1082 seconds
range from [0 , 2.1082]
