f(x) = 4x^8 -5x^5 +7x^2 +17 - x^-1
i worked it out to be: f'''(x) = 1344x^5 -300x^2 +6x^-4
is this correct?
please show working if im totally off the track.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! This is an algebra forum not a calculus forum. Anyway, to find the third derivative of your function, find f'(x), then f"(x) and then f'''(x). In other words, take the derivative three times. Understand? If not, write back.
